Dual Auger System How It Works
Dual Auger Discharge System
Two-auger system moves material both ways — top auger to rear, bottom auger to front discharge. Expeller uses "Golf Club" action for a controllable spread arc.
  • Top (Right) auger moves material to the rear
  • Bottom (Left) auger feeds the front discharge
  • Expeller pulverizes and propels with "Golf Club" rotational action
  • Spread pattern is fully controllable from the cab

  • All hammers individually balanced — eliminates vibration
  • Replaceable design reduces long-term maintenance cost
  • All-stainless steel shroud resists corrosion in all conditions
  • Shroud has 2 drainage holes at each end to prevent freeze-up
Details
25mm Longer Hammers Performance Edge
25mm (1") Longer Hammers
LEO hammers are 25mm (1") longer than any competitor — like a longer golf club, the higher tip speed produces greater material velocity and increased throw distance.
  • 25mm (1") longer than any competitor hammer
  • Higher tip speed = increased material velocity at discharge
  • Greater particle acceleration = longer, more even spread
  • All hammers are balanced — no vibration penalty

Adjustable Deflector Precision Control
🎯
Hydraulic Adjustable Deflector
Hydraulically adjust spread width and distance on the fly from the cab. Combined with door opening and RPM control for a full Variable Rate Application (VRA) system.
  • Hydraulically controlled from the cab
  • Adjusts spread width AND throw distance independently
  • Combines with door opening (material amount) for VRA
  • Expeller RPM independently controls particle size and arch height

Waterfall Bottom Design Advantage
💧
Waterfall Bottom Profile
No compartments for water to sit, rut, or freeze. Everything in a LEO drains to the door. Competitors have a floor that peaks up before the door — water collects and freezes.
  • Zero water traps — no compartments anywhere in the floor
  • Everything drains directly toward the door
  • Prevents rust, rot, and winter freeze-up
  • Shroud has 2 drainage holes at each end
  • Competitor floor peaks before door — water pools and rusts
Details
Larger Auger Diameter Capacity Advantage
📏
+8" (203mm) Larger Auger Diameter
2" (51mm) larger auger diameter eliminates tunneling in pen-pack manure, creates an 8" (203mm) wider base to prevent bridging, and delivers material to the door faster.
  • 2" (51mm) larger diameter — eliminates tunneling in pen-pack manure
  • 8" (203mm) wider base = dramatically reduced bridging
  • Steeper side walls reduce material sticking and buildup
  • More material delivered to door per revolution
  • Faster overall discharge rate across all applications

Volcanic Mixing Effect Mixing Action
🌋
Volcanic Mixing Effect
Feed flows up in the center and down along the sides — the optimal vertical mixer circulation pattern. LEO's 5 auger innovations all work together to drive this flow perfectly.
  • Up in the middle, down on the sides — continuous full-bowl circulation
  • Slanted auger top eliminates dead spot on the auger cap
  • Angled blades improve bale tearing speed
  • Hockey Stick Kicker sweeps material from wall to auger
  • V-shaped leading edge acts like a road grader — material flows to center
  • Hay knife reliefs allow stem material to fold for easier cutting
Details
Diamond Cut Auger Auger Design
💎
Diamond Cut Auger Design
LEO's Diamond TMR auger creates a square cutting pattern that places bales in a high-pressure zone — forcing knives to cut faster, earlier in the process, saving fuel and time.
  • Square cut design creates a high-pressure zone for bales
  • High pressure drives knives through hay at maximum efficiency
  • Twin auger models double the pressure zone between augers
  • Knife relief cutaways allow long-stem material to fold for easier cutting
  • Directly reduces fuel use and mixing time per batch
Details
Decagonal Sidewalls Bowl Design
Decagonal Side Wall Design
10-sided walls stop round bales from spinning freely. Corners pinch bales intermittently, forcing knife cutting action even before the full ration weight is added.
  • Tapered sidewalls break bale rotation every cycle
  • Intermittent corner pinching forces active knife cutting
  • Works even before full ration weight is loaded
  • 100mm (4") triangular gussets in each corner — no dead zones or material gaps
  • Auger edge distance to wall matches or beats any competitor model

Golden Ratios Engineering Precision
📐
The Golden Ratios
Every machine has its own capacity-specific auger. Competitors use the same auger across multiple sizes. Every ratio on a LEO machine is calculated, tested, and proven.
  • Every machine gets a capacity-specific auger height
  • Auger diameter, flighting diameter, and pitch all calculated per unit
  • Triangular baffle heights tuned per machine capacity
  • Sidewall-to-auger distance optimized for each size
  • Competitors use the same auger across multiple machine sizes
Details
Scale System Technology
Premium Scale System — Standard
Round Bar Loadcells rated 10,000 Kg (22,046 lb) each. IP68 aircraft aluminum junction box. 20-recipe programmable scale included on every machine — competitors charge extra for this.
  • Round Bar Loadcells — strongest on the market at 10,000 Kg (22,046 lb) each
  • IP68-rated aircraft aluminum waterproof junction box
  • Individual wire terminals prevent signal cross-feed and short circuits
  • 20-recipe programmable scale standard — not an upgrade
  • 3 or 4-stage planetary gearbox (most competitors use only 2 stages)
  • Competitor loadcells typically rated at half the capacity
  • Compatible with all TOPCON Digi-star scale systems
Details
Hay Retention Chain Processing
🌿
Hay Chain & Side Wall Knives
High-strength logging chain retains bales during the fluff stage. Adjustable side wall knives create a scissor-cutting action — standard on all LEO verticals, not an option.
  • High strength logging chain — not a rigid pipe that can bend with frozen bales
  • Absorbs bale impact and positions bales at optimal processing location
  • Catches hay during fluff stage — reduces spillage and waste
  • Side wall knives create scissor-cutting action inside the bowl
  • Knives adjustable to 4 positions with a simple pin
  • Standard on ALL LEO vertical mixers — competitors charge extra
Details
Two-Piece Knife System Cost Savings
Two-Piece Mixer Knife System
The backer plate stays permanently on the auger — only replace the small tungsten-coated cutting blade. Abrasive-resistant material lasts longer and costs less than full knife replacement.
  • Backer plate is permanently mounted — never needs to be replaced
  • Only replace the small abrasive-resistant cutting blades
  • Replace 1 or both blades per backer plate independently
  • Tungsten-coated edge maintains sharpness longer
  • Flexible backer absorbs impact; hard cutting edge does the work
  • Significantly lower ongoing knife cost vs competitors
