LEO Agriculture, a leading manufacturer of agricultural and industrial handling equipment, is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key role in the design, development, and improvement of our agricultural equipment solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, manufacturing) to design and develop new and improved agricultural equipment.
- Conduct research and analyze agricultural needs and trends to identify opportunities for product innovation.
- Translate customer needs and market requirements into technical specifications and design concepts.
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations to ensure product functionality, efficiency, and durability.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings and documentation for manufacturing.
- Participate in the selection and sourcing of materials and components.
- Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of new equipment designs.
- Work with manufacturing to ensure efficient and cost-effective production processes.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in agricultural technology and mechanical engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on agricultural equipment or machinery.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, mechanics, and material science.
- Proficient in SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for agriculture and a desire to contribute to sustainable farming practices (a plus).
Benefits:
Location: Durand, Illinois USA
Pay: $100,000– $145,000 annual salary (based on qualifications and experience)
