LEO Agriculture, a leading manufacturer of agricultural and industrial handling equipment, is seeking a skilled Agricultural Equipment Welder to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating high-quality components for our innovative agricultural equipment solutions.
Location: Madison, Wisconsin USA
Pay: $26.50– $38.50 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and shop orders to understand fabrication requirements.
- Set up, operate, and maintain various welding equipment, including GMAW (MIG), SMAW (Stick), and possibly GTAW (TIG).
- Fabricate and assemble metal components for agricultural equipment using precise welding techniques.
- Ensure all welds meet stringent quality standards and specifications.
- Perform cutting operations using oxy-fuel torches or plasma cutters as needed.
- Assist in the setup and operation of metal fabrication equipment (press brakes, shears, etc.)
- Inspect completed welds visually and dimensionally to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in welding, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Experience with agricultural equipment or machinery a plus.
- Strong understanding of welding processes (GMAW, SMAW, and potentially GTAW).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various positions (standing, bending, crouching).
